Does your family have a history of colon cancer? Has your doctor
suggested
getting a colonoscopy?
Then ColoRight is right for you.
Colorectal cancer is the nation’s number
2 cancer killer in the United States. Over 148,000 people were
diagnosed with colon
cancer for the first time in 2002 and over 56,000 people died.
When detected early however, colorectal cancer has about a 90%
cure rate.
ColoRight, NMi’s new colon
cancer screening technique, is a non-invasive and quick procedure
allowing your colon to be examined
virtually. ColoRight is a gentle alternative to the traditional
colonoscopy exam. It requires less prep time, eliminates the risk
involved with invasive procedures, requires no sedation, offers
a comprehensive view of the colon and allows you to immediately
return to daily activities. The exam entails using a CT (Computed
Tomography) scanner which takes a series of pictures. . A computer
work station renders these pictures into 3-D colon images. The
images are then reviewed by NMI’s Board Certified Radiologists.
The exam itself takes approximate 10 minutes and results are received
within 48 hours.
